Dana 6. lipnja, 2011. godine, u 10 sati doc. dr. sc. Polona Žnidaršič-Plazl sa Fakulteta za kemiju i kemijsku tehnologiju Sveučilišta u Ljubljani održati će predavanje na temu „Micro-bioprocess engineering".

Predavanje je prvenstveno namjenjeno studentima prve godine diplomskog studija iz Procesnog inženjerstva, ali se pozivaju svi zainteresirani za područje primjene mikrotehnologije u bioprocesnom inženjerstvo da prisustvuju predavanju.

Predavanje će se održati u Vijećnici Prehrambeno-tehnološkog fakulteta Osijek, Kuhačeva 20, 6. lipnja, 2011. godine, u 10 sati.

Sažetak predavanje:

Microtechnology has uncovered new scientific solutions and challenges in a broad range of areas, from electronic industry, medical technology, fuel production and processing, to biotechnology, chemical industry, environmental protection and process safety. Due to the small amount of chemicals needed and high rate of heat and mass transfer, the systems are especially suited for reactions with highly toxic, flammable, and explosive reactants. Besides, the small length scale of reactors reduces transport limitations giving near gradientless conditions desirable for determination of reaction kinetics. Integration of bioprocesses and downstream processing with microreactor technology is of a great potential also for industrial scale production. In last few years, extensive research in this field brought several new solutions and new challenges. In this lecture research performed at the Microprocess Engineering Research Laboratory of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana, will be presented, with the emphasis on biotransformations and downstream processing within microchannel systems.
